An Overdue Book. A Timeless Quest.
In this thought-provoking play by Glen Berger, a librarian’s discovery of an overdue book sparks a global journey to unravel an ancient mystery. Filled with intrigue and heart, it’s a story of discovery, resilience, and the timeless human quest for meaning.
"I first saw Underneath the Lintel in 2022 at a national theater competition and was immediately captivated. The play’s mystery, humor, and profound moments pulled me in from its quirky start to its powerful ending. I knew I wanted to share this experience with our community and am thrilled to present it across multiple venues. I hope it proves as moving and gratifying for you as it has been for me."
"When Dawn approached me about Underneath the Lintel, I read the script in one evening and was captivated by its humor, depth, and thought-provoking nature. Taking on this 90-minute one-man show has been a unique challenge, both for the amount of memorization and for revealing a complex character whose story unfolds gradually. I’m excited to see how audiences connect with the Librarian and the big questions he wrestles with."
